A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with the rear of a crossover SUV on the northbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Tustin on Sunday night, June 15, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 8:11 p.m., just south of Jamboree Road.
Witnesses reported that the motorcyclist had been driving recklessly and weaving through lanes before striking the back of the SUV.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The person’s name, age, and gender have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
