A hit-and-run crash led to a large-scale search operation in Palm Desert on Thursday evening, June 12, 2025.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 5:25 p.m. to a reported hit-and-run in the area of Bob Hope Drive and Dinah Shore Drive.
Authorities obtained a description of the suspect vehicle, which was later located in the 4000 block of Sagewood Drive.
One individual was taken into custody. A second suspect prompted an extensive ground and aerial search in the vicinity of Monterey Avenue and Sagewood Drive that lasted approximately four hours.
The search has since concluded, though the investigation remains active.
