A motorcyclist was hospitalized with major injuries following a hit-and-run crash in San Jose on Monday morning, June 9, 2025.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the collision occurred just before 6:00 a.m. on Fruitdale Avenue near Southwest Expressway.
Investigators said the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Fruitdale when a black sedan heading south on Corlista Drive made an illegal U-turn, cutting into the rider’s path.
The motorcyclist was severely injured and transported to a local hospital. The driver of the sedan fled the scene before officers arrived.
Police later identified the suspect as 35-year-old Misael M. of San Jose. He was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the crash.
