[06-11-2025] Los Angeles County, CA – Teen Killed at Bus Stop After Two-Vehicle Crash at Carson Street and Palo Verde Avenue in Long Beach

[06-11-2025] Teen Killed at Bus Stop After Two-Vehicle Crash at Carson Street and Palo Verde Avenue in Long BeachA 15-year-old boy was killed while waiting at a bus stop after a crash caused a vehicle to overturn onto the sidewalk in Long Beach on Wednesday afternoon, June 11, 2025.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident occurred just before 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of Palo Verde Avenue and Carson Street.

A 2010 Infiniti G37 traveling west on Carson failed to stop at a red light and collided with a 2010 Toyota Prius traveling south on Palo Verde through a green light.

Police said the impact caused the Infiniti to skid, overturn, and continue onto the northwest sidewalk of Carson Street, where it struck the teen who was seated at a bus stop.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the boy to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His identity has not been released due to his age.

The Prius driver, a 32-year-old man from Lakewood, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The Infiniti driver was hospitalized and reported to be in stable condition.

Police said speed was believed to be a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

Don’t Know What To Do After An Accident?

Your safety and rights depend on what you do next after an accident. Remember the following steps if you find yourself in one:

  • Check yourself for any injuries.
  • Stay on the scene, call 9-1-1, and wait for emergency responders.
  • Move your vehicle to the road shoulder if safe; turn on hazard lights.
  • Fully cooperate with law enforcement and stay until cleared to leave.
  • Document the scene and injuries with photos and videos.
  • Seek immediate medical attention.
  • Contact your insurance company and find a personal injury lawyer for legal advice.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
