At least one person suffered minor injuries in a crash involving three box trucks on the northbound Interstate 5 off-ramp to Grapevine Road in Bakersfield on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred when the trucks, traveling in a convoy, lost control while navigating the off-ramp, resulting in all three vehicles crashing.
One of the trucks overturned and caught fire, while another began smoking heavily prior to the collision. Emergency responders confirmed that only minor injuries were reported for at least one individual involved.
The crash remains under investigation.
