[05-31-2025] Orange County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Suspected DUI Crash Involving Trailer on Bastanchury Road in Fullerton

[05-31-2025] Motorcyclist Killed in Suspected DUI Crash Involving Trailer on Bastanchury Road in FullertonA motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a trailer in Fullerton early Saturday morning, May 31, 2025.

According to the Fullerton Police Department, officers responded around midnight to a collision near the intersection of Euclid Street and Bastanchury Road.

At the scene, authorities found a heavily damaged 1993 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe attached to a 1996 Prowler recreational trailer.

The motorcyclist was found on the ground with severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The trailer had visible collision damage and was stopped in the roadway west of the intersection.

Investigators said the Chevy was initially stopped in the center median of Bastanchury Road due to a mechanical issue. A man attempted to reverse the vehicle, which caused the trailer to jack-knife and extend across the westbound lanes, directly into the path of the motorcyclist who was heading westbound from Euclid Street.

Both the female driver of the Chevy and the male who moved the vehicle were arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. Authorities have not confirmed whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the motorcyclist’s actions.

The investigation is ongoing.

Don’t Know What To Do After An Accident?

Your safety and rights depend on what you do next after an accident. Remember the following steps if you find yourself in one:

  • Check yourself for any injuries.
  • Stay on the scene, call 9-1-1, and wait for emergency responders.
  • Move your vehicle to the road shoulder if safe; turn on hazard lights.
  • Fully cooperate with law enforcement and stay until cleared to leave.
  • Document the scene and injuries with photos and videos.
  • Seek immediate medical attention.
  • Contact your insurance company and find a personal injury lawyer for legal advice.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
