[05-24-2025] Two Women Injured in Hit-And-Run Crash Involving Golf Cart in Canyon LakeTwo women sustained non-life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run crash involving a golf cart and a black SUV in the city of Canyon Lake on Saturday afternoon, May 24, 2025.

According to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, deputies responded to the scene at Canyon Lake Drive and Gray Fox Drive at approximately 4:50 p.m. 

Upon arrival, they found two injured female adults, who were treated by the Canyon Lake Fire Department and transported to a nearby hospital.

Investigators determined that both the black Kia SUV and the golf cart were traveling southbound on Canyon Lake Drive when the SUV struck the golf cart and fled the scene. Witnesses described the driver of the SUV as an adult female.

The Traffic Team at the Lake Elsinore Station processed evidence and pursued leads from witnesses, which led them to identify 41-year-old Misty F. of Canyon Lake as the suspect. She was arrested on Monday, May 26, 2025, and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for felony hit-and-run.

The investigation is ongoing.
