[05-23-2025] One Injured After Car Rolls Down Embankment in Crash With RV on I-215 in PerrisOne person sustained minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash involving a Toyota Camry and an RV on Interstate 215 in Perris on Friday afternoon, May 23, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 12:28 p.m. on northbound I-215 just south of Ethanac Road. 

The Toyota Camry reportedly collided with an RV, veered off the freeway, and rolled approximately 30 feet down an embankment, coming to rest on its roof.

Initial reports indicated the Camry driver may have been trapped, but Riverside County Fire Department crews confirmed the driver had self-extricated by the time they arrived. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined transport to a trauma center.

No injuries were reported in the RV, which pulled over to the shoulder following the crash. CHP noted that oil and other fluids had spilled on the roadside, prompting the fire department to request a hazardous materials team for cleanup.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
