A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a hit-and-run collision involving a car in Salinas on Thursday afternoon, May 22, 2025.
According to initial reports, the crash happened around 3:00 p.m. on John Street near the entrance to Highway 101.
Witnesses said the driver of a Ford Mustang was leaving an apartment complex when it collided with the motorcycle.
The car sustained front-end damage, and one of the motorcycle’s wheels was nearly dislodged from the impact. After the collision, the driver of the Mustang allegedly fled the scene on foot.
Emergency personnel responded and transported the injured motorcyclist to a hospital. The extent of the injuries has not been publicly disclosed.
Authorities are actively investigating the crash and have not confirmed whether the suspect driver has been located.
