A multi-vehicle crash caused significant delays on westbound Interstate 80 at the Yolo Causeway in Yolo County early Thursday morning, May 22, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. near the Chiles Road exit.
A vehicle reportedly stalled on the Causeway and was struck by another vehicle. A big rig was also involved in the collision.
Debris was scattered across the roadway, prompting a response from emergency crews. One lane remained blocked near the scene, causing heavy traffic stretching back to the Sacramento County line.
Authorities reported only minor injuries in the crash. No estimated time for roadway clearance has been provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
