An electric bicycle rider was killed following a collision with a pickup truck in Santa Barbara on Sunday night, May 18, 2025.
According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:35 p.m. in the 1900 block of State Street.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the black pickup truck involved in the crash remained at the site and cooperated with authorities.
Santa Barbara police officers are investigating the cause of the collision. No additional details were immediately available.
