A female pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Vermont Vista neighborhood of South Los Angeles on Saturday night, May 17, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of 15th and South Figueroa streets.
The woman was reportedly hit by a gray pickup truck. Paramedics responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Officers requested a canopy to preserve the area for investigation.
It is unclear whether the incident was a hit-and-run, and no details have been released regarding the driver or the circumstances of the crash. The victim’s identity and age had not been confirmed as of 11:00 p.m.
