One person was killed and another sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Phelan, San Bernardino County, on Tuesday night, May 13, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 8:49 p.m. near the intersection of Sheep Creek Road and Chevoit Road.
A silver sedan and a dark-colored SUV were involved in the incident. Authorities stated that the SUV overturned and came to rest on its roof, blocking both lanes of traffic.
A deputy from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department arrived on the scene shortly after the crash and requested additional emergency resources.
The driver of the silver sedan was pronounced dead at the scene by personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department’s Engine 10.
The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries and declined transportation after being evaluated and signing an Against Medical Advice (AMA) form.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
