[05-08-2025] Motorcyclist Ejected and Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 49/108 in JamestownA motorcyclist was seriously injured after being ejected from his bike in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 49/108 near the Main Street intersection in Jamestown, Tuolumne County, on Thursday evening, May 8, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. when 66-year-old Douglas S. of Jamestown attempted to make a left turn from the east shoulder of the highway near the Chevron gas station. 

While turning, the rider’s 2001 Harley-Davidson entered the path of a 2016 Dodge Challenger driven by 54-year-old Donald O., also of Jamestown, who was traveling at approximately 25–30 MPH.

The Dodge struck the left side of the motorcycle, ejecting the rider into the roadway as the bike overturned and became fully engulfed in flames. Bystanders stopped and provided immediate aid until emergency services arrived.

The rider, who was wearing a helmet, was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries. The Dodge driver was not injured in the crash.

CHP officials confirmed that drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision. The incident remains under investigation.
