Two motorcyclists were injured following a crash on the interchange between Highway 44 East and Interstate 5 Southbound in Redding on Sunday afternoon, May 4, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 12:50 p.m., prompting authorities to close the ramp to traffic. Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene.
Both riders were transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities said the extent of their injuries remains unknown.
The large motorcycles involved in the crash were damaged and removed from the scene by tow trucks. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
