Four people were killed following a single-vehicle rollover crash on the I-40 Freeway in San Bernardino County on Sunday morning, May 4, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. near mile marker 30 on the westbound side of the freeway.
Authorities said the vehicle veered off the roadway into the desert for unknown reasons before losing control and rolling over several times.
Three occupants were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth occupant, who was partially trapped in the overturned vehicle, died shortly after.
CHP reported that the car landed on its side following the rollover. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
