[04-21-2025] Pedestrian Injured in Hit-And-Run Crash at Cowell Boulevard and Valdora Street in DavisA pedestrian was injured following a hit-and-run collision in Davis on Monday, April 21, 2025.

According to the Davis Police Department, the accident occurred at the intersection of Cowell Boulevard and Valdora Street.

Authorities stated that the male victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Officials said that the involved vehicle, a red GMC SUV, fled the scene in the direction of Richards Boulevard.

Officers located the vehicle at the Hi-Wheel Flats motel on Chiles Road and arrested 36-year-old Morgan P. of Davis on April 22. Panchal was booked into the Yolo County Jail.

The suspect, who was released on bail, pleaded not guilty to hit-and-run causing injury and driving without a license during her arraignment in Yolo Superior Court. She was ordered not to drive unless licensed and insured. Further court proceedings are scheduled for June 6.

The Davis Police Department continues to investigate the crash.
