[04-21-2025] Golf Cart Driver Critically Injured in Collision with SUV Near Long Beach Grand Prix TrackA man sustained life-threatening injuries after a crash involving a golf cart and an SUV in Long Beach on Monday morning, April 21, 2025.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the collision occurred around 11:45 a.m. in the 400 block of Shoreline Drive, near the intersection with Shoreline Village Drive, where crews were actively dismantling portions of the Long Beach Grand Prix track.

Authorities say the male adult operating the golf cart was transported to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire Department personnel. His injuries were described as life-threatening.

The driver of the SUV, identified as a female adult, remained at the scene and was not injured in the crash, according to police spokesman Richard Mejia.

The exact cause and circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation by the Long Beach Police Department.
