A pedestrian was fatally struck in a multi-vehicle hit-and-run crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Torrance on Saturday night, April 19, 2025.
According to the Torrance Police Department, the crash occurred before 8:30 p.m. near Ocean Avenue, close to a McDonald’s restaurant.
Investigators stated that the pedestrian fell off the curb and into the traffic lanes of PCH, where they were struck by at least one vehicle. Multiple vehicles were reportedly involved in the collision.
The pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed that one driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in connection with the crash.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
