A collision involving a semitrailer and a minivan caused traffic delays on northbound Highway 101 near Oxnard Boulevard in Oxnard on Friday morning, April 18, 2025.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Daniel Matthews, the accident was reported shortly after 9:15 a.m. and may have involved additional vehicles. No serious injuries were reported at the scene.
Initial reports suggest the driver of the minivan, possibly rushing to work, may have struck the semi. The crash left debris scattered across the roadway, requiring cleanup crews to respond.
CHP logs indicated that lanes were temporarily blocked, but all involved vehicles were moved to the right shoulder. Traffic lanes reopened shortly after 10:00 a.m., with normal flow reportedly restored by 10:30 a.m.
The incident remains under investigation by the CHP.
