[04-12-2025] Motorcyclist Injured After Shed Falls from Trailer on Ranchero Road in HesperiaA motorcyclist was injured after being struck by a shed that fell from a trailer on Ranchero Road east of Santa Fe Avenue in Hesperia on Saturday morning, April 12, 2025.

According to a witness, the motorcyclist had been traveling eastbound behind a white Chevrolet pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer carrying two sheds. For unknown reasons, one of the sheds became dislodged and struck the rider, knocking him off his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The rider tumbled across the dirt center median and came to rest in the westbound No. 1 lane. The motorcycle continued traveling down the road without its rider before tipping over near a turnout area.

San Bernardino County Fire personnel responded to the scene and transported the injured rider to a local hospital by ground ambulance. He was alert and communicating with paramedics at the time of transport.

Photos from the scene showed one shed damaged near the median, while the second remained secured to the trailer. No other injuries were reported.

The Hesperia Police Department is investigating the cause of the incident.
