A woman and three young girls were hospitalized after their vehicle went over the side of a cliff in Sylmar, Los Angeles, on Monday night, April 7, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles City Fire Department, at around 9:11 p.m., crews were dispatched to the 12000 block of North Harding Street, located between El Cariso Golf Course and the Lopez Canyon Sylmar Hiking Trail.
Under unknown circumstances, the vehicle veered off the roadway and plunged approximately 120 feet down an embankment. All four occupants—one 44-year-old woman and three girls ages 12, 7, and 3—were able to exit the vehicle on their own before receiving assistance from emergency responders.
The individuals were transported to a local hospital in fair condition with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Crews remained at the scene to assist in recovering the vehicle. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
