[04-04-2025] Tesla Cybertruck Overturns in Two-Vehicle Crash at Benton Road and Washington Street in TemeculaA Tesla Cybertruck overturned after colliding with a Honda Odyssey at the intersection of Benton Road and Washington Street in an unincorporated area of Temecula on Friday afternoon, April 4, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, at around 4:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the scene where the Cybertruck was found overturned in a nearby field and the Honda Odyssey was disabled at the intersection.

The Cybertruck, driven by a 65-year-old Winchester man, had been traveling eastbound on Benton Road at approximately 40 mph and allegedly failed to stop at a posted stop sign before striking the Honda Odyssey, which was traveling southbound on Washington Street. The Odyssey had reportedly stopped at the intersection and proceeded with the right-of-way.

The impact caused the Cybertruck to roll over into an open field, crashing through a barbed wire fence before coming to rest on its roof. A 15-year-old male passenger in the Cybertruck complained of pain but no serious injuries were reported.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts, and no arrests or citations were issued. Everyone involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The investigation is ongoing.
