[04-08-2025] Three Injured in Head-On Collision Involving Wrong-Way Driver on SR-70 Near Rush CreekThree people were injured in a head-on collision involving a wrong-way driver on SR-70 near Rush Creek in the Feather River Canyon, Plumas County, on Tuesday morning, April 8, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, at around 6:49 a.m., dispatch received a report of a reckless driver in a dark green Acura swerving and driving in the wrong lane along SR-70. 

An officer was dispatched to intercept the vehicle, but before arriving, a call was received at 6:58 a.m. reporting a head-on collision involving the same Acura.

The crash occurred when 53-year-old Jeremy G. of Oakdale, CA, entered a blind curve while traveling the wrong way and collided head-on with a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by a 62-year-old man from Quincy, CA. A female passenger was also in the Acura at the time of the crash.

All three individuals sustained injuries and were airlifted to Enloe Medical Center. Both vehicles sustained major damage and were removed from the roadway. 

The CHP is continuing to investigate the crash and plans to file charges against Jeremy G. for reckless driving resulting in injury.
