A chain-reaction collision involving five vehicles occurred in La Quinta on Monday morning, April 7, 2025.
According to Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez, at around 8:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Washington Street and Avenue 48.
The crash reportedly began when a vehicle rear-ended another, resulting in a chain reaction that involved three additional vehicles.
No arrests were made. It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
