[04-04-2025] 26-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 46 at Jardine RoadA 26-year-old woman sustained major injuries following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 46 at Jardine Road in San Luis Obispo County on Friday evening, April 4, 2025.

According to a press release issued by the California Highway Patrol – Templeton Area, officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:52 p.m. in unincorporated San Luis Obispo County.

It was determined that the woman had been driving a gray Honda Civic eastbound on Highway 46 in the left turn lane while a 65-year-old man had been driving a black Ford F-350 westbound on Highway 46.

The Honda Civic reportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic and entered the path of the Ford F-350, resulting in a collision. The woman was suspected of sustaining major injuries and was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital for further treatment.

Alcohol and drugs were not considered to be factors in the crash, but an investigation into the incident remains ongoing, according to the CHP.
