A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle west of the Hawthorne and West Athens neighborhood of Los Angeles early Saturday morning, April 5, 2025.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene around 4:32 a.m. to West 120th Street and South Western Avenue, where they discovered the victim, according to CHP Officer Sergio Garcia.
The victim, whose name, age, and gender were not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
