A driver was hospitalized after experiencing a medical emergency that led to a chain-reaction crash on northbound I-15 in the Cajon Pass, San Bernardino County, on Wednesday evening, March 26, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 5:17 p.m., just past the Kenwood Avenue exit.
Witnesses reported that the driver of a white Dodge Caravan appeared to suffer a medical emergency before colliding with a gray Hyundai Elantra and a white work van.
Despite the collisions, the Caravan and Hyundai continued northbound before stopping near Cleghorn Road. CHP logs indicate that approximately seven vehicles were involved.
Emergency crews from San Bernardino County Fire responded and transported the Dodge Caravan’s driver to a local hospital in an unknown condition. No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
