According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred between 4:10 and 4:20 p.m. when a dark grey Toyota Avalon without a right-side mirror struck the bicyclist before fleeing the scene.

The suspect is described as a woman between 25 to 30 years old with long black hair, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

Authorities are actively searching for the driver involved in the hit-and-run.
