[02-18-2025] Butte County, CA – Three People Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 70 North of Oroville

Three people suffered moderate injuries following a two-vehicle crash involving a cow on Highway 70, north of Oroville, on Tuesday night, February 18, 2025.

According to CAL FIRE Butte Unit Public Information Officer Dan Collins, the crash occurred around 8:12 p.m. near Coal Canyon Road.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found one of the vehicles on fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze by 8:26 p.m.

Authorities confirmed that three people sustained moderate injuries. An air ambulance was initially requested but later canceled.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
