Two drivers sustained major injuries in a head-on collision in Fulton near Santa Rosa in Sonoma County on Wednesday night, January 29, 2025. One was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Fulton Road, south of River Road, a mostly residential area with only a handful of businesses.

Authorities believe a northbound Infiniti G35 veered into oncoming traffic before colliding with a Honda Civic.

The Infiniti’s driver, identified as 24-year-old Christian T., was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI after showing signs of being intoxicated. His injuries prevented him from being booked into the Sonoma County jail.

Both drivers were transported to a hospital with serious injuries, though neither suffered life-threatening conditions.

Investigators are determining whether speed played a role in the crash.
