![[01-13-2025] 87-Year-Old Woman Killed After Hit-And-Run Collision in Echo Park](https://ak1.to//^HVY.webp)
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck an 87-year-old woman in Echo Park, Los Angeles, on Monday evening, January 13, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the woman was walking westbound in a crosswalk at the intersection of Berkeley Avenue and Allesandro Street around 6:50 p.m. when she was struck by a dark-colored Ford Transit van traveling southbound on Allesandro Street.
The driver fled the scene without stopping to provide aid. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The city is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
