[12-23-2024] Riverside County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By SUV at Ramona Expressway and North Perris Boulevard

A pedestrian was fatally struck by an SUV in Perris on Monday evening, December 23, 2024.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene shortly after 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ramona Expressway and North Perris Boulevard.

The pedestrian found unresponsive in the eastbound lanes of Ramona Expressway, was transported to a hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Preliminary findings from the Perris Station Reconstruction Team indicated that the vehicle was traveling eastbound at the time of the collision. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be factors in the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
