A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in the unincorporated La Colonia Independencia area near Anaheim on Sunday evening, December 22, 2024.
The California Highway Patrol reported the incident at approximately 7:17 p.m. at 10911 Gilbert Street, just north of Katella Avenue.
The pedestrian, whose identity has not been disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Orange County coroner’s office was requested to respond.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation. Further details have not yet been released.
