A boy was killed after a three-vehicle collision in Lancaster on Friday evening, December 20, 2024.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that the crash occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of 20th Street East and Avenue K.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a man driving a Dodge Charger entered the eastbound lanes of Avenue K when it was struck by a Lexus ES350 traveling in the No. 1 lane.
The impact pushed the Lexus into the westbound lanes of Avenue K, where it collided with a Nissan Rogue traveling westbound.
The victim, a passenger in the Lexus, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity and age have not yet been released.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
