Two teenage girls were injured after a driver struck them in San Francisco on Thursday evening, December 19, 2024.
The incident began around 6:30 p.m. when a black SUV jumped the curb near Kearny and Post streets, hitting two teenage girls, aged 17 and 18, as they exited a Chipotle restaurant.
The driver then pursued a man on an e-bike, eventually striking the cyclist before attempting to load the e-bike into his vehicle and gathering items left by the bicyclist.
San Francisco police located the suspect’s vehicle at Grant and Post streets around 1:30 a.m. on Friday. Officers surrounded the car, and during the confrontation, an officer fired at the armed suspect inside. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
