[12-15-2024] Four Killed, Two Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash at Highway 165 and Greenway Avenue in TurlockFour individuals, including a 16-year-old girl, were killed in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 165 and Greenway Avenue in Turlock on Sunday morning, December 15, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. when a 2008 Infiniti sedan, driven by a 22-year-old Modesto man, collided with a Jeep SUV carrying five occupants. Authorities revealed that the Infiniti was traveling northbound on Highway 165 at a high speed when it struck the left side of the Jeep, which had entered the intersection after stopping at a stop sign.

The driver of the Infiniti, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep, a 54-year-old Turlock man, and a 45-year-old female passenger were also killed on impact. A 16-year-old girl in the Jeep was transported to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Two other passengers in the Jeep, a 19-year-old and a 14-year-old, sustained major injuries and were hospitalized.

The CHP stated that all occupants of the Jeep were wearing seatbelts, and it is currently unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
