Two people were injured after a head-on collision on South Burson Road near Olive Orchard Road in Calaveras County on Thursday evening, December 12, 2024.
The crash was reported at approximately 6:38 p.m., diverting one of the fire engines from an earlier crash on Silver Rapids Road to the scene. A mutual aid fire engine from San Andreas also responded, along with an ambulance dispatched from Ione.
Emergency personnel transported two victims to a local hospital for treatment.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the collision. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved or further details.
