[12-12-2024] One Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving School Bus on Homer Avenue in Palo AltoOne person sustained injuries after a multi-vehicle crash involving a school bus carrying three children in Palo Alto on Thursday morning, December 12, 2024.

According to the Palo Alto Fire Department, the crash was reported at 8:04 a.m. at the intersection of Homer Avenue and Middlefield Road.

The vehicles involved included a gray Subaru, a red Hyundai, and the school bus. The Palo Alto Police Department confirmed that one person, who was not on the bus, sustained minor to moderate injuries. No injuries were reported among the students on the school bus.

Preliminary investigations by the California Highway Patrol revealed conflicting accounts from the drivers. The drivers of the school bus and the Subaru claimed to have had the green light, while the Hyundai driver also asserted having the green light. The vehicles collided in the middle of the intersection.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
