A person was killed in a vehicle-pedestrian crash on Gibson Canyon Road in Solano County on Saturday night, December 7, 2024.
Around 11:00 p.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the fatal crash between Farrell Road and Vine Street, closing the roadway for investigation.
CHP’s Solano office urged drivers to find alternate routes as they investigated the incident.
The road was reopened by 11:50 p.m. Saturday, but the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
According to law enforcement, alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
