One person died, and another was injured after a Toyota Tacoma crashed through a guardrail on Highway 180 and landed below Highway 41 in Fresno early Tuesday morning, November 26, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m.
The vehicle was traveling westbound on Highway 180 when it lost control, broke through the guardrail, and landed on the roadway below.
The passenger was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to their injuries. The driver sustained injuries but is expected to recover.
Authorities stated that rainy weather and slippery road conditions were contributing factors in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
