A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Escondido on Sunday evening, November 24, 2024.
The California Highway Patrol received reports of the fatal crash at approximately 9:22 p.m. at eastbound Ronald Packard (78) Parkway east of Centre City Parkway.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CHP officials. Their identity has not yet been released, pending notification of family members.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
