A van driver and a passenger were injured following a collision with a Freightliner tractor-trailer in Selma on Friday morning, November 22, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the tractor-trailer was slowly reversing into an orchard as part of a harvesting operation. The driver of the van reportedly failed to see the truck and collided with it.
Emergency personnel from the Selma Fire Department responded to the crash, working to separate the vehicles and provide medical assistance to the victims.
The van driver suffered major injuries, while a passenger in the rear seat sustained minor injuries.
The identities of those involved have not been disclosed, and CHP officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
