A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a Toyota hatchback sedan in Stockton on Sunday evening, November 17, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. on the northbound lane of B Street.
The pedestrian, a man, was walking near the northbound lane of B Street when he entered the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. The man was transported to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
CHP officers noted that it was dark outside at the time of the crash, and the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
