A 41-year-old Whittier man sustained critical injuries, including fractured ribs and a brain bleed, following a two-car collision in Pasadena early Saturday morning, November 16, 2024.
The crash happened at about 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of San Gabriel Boulevard and Del Mar Boulevard, Pasadena Police Lieutenant Andrea Perez reported.
Officers arriving at the scene found both vehicles on the southwest corner of the intersection, with one of the drivers lying on the roadway. One vehicle had gone partially through a fence and into a home’s front yard.
Paramedics from the Pasadena Fire Department provided medical treatment to the critically injured Whittier man before transporting him to a nearby hospital. He remains in critical condition. The other driver, a 38-year-old Pasadena resident, reported pain.
The Pasadena Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
