Two people sustained injuries after a vehicle crashed into Michell’s Donuts in Exposition Park, Los Angeles, on Friday, November 15, 2024.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. at 3783 S Western Avenue. According to surveillance footage, the vehicle smashed through the entrance, narrowly missing a stroller carrying a baby believed to be under a year old.

Authorities reported that the driver, an elderly individual, mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, leading to the crash. The driver was unharmed.

A woman sustained an arm injury, while a man suffered fractures to his leg. Both were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The baby in the stroller was unharmed.

The force of the crash caused significant damage inside the store, toppling a wall, tables, and chairs. Witnesses described the chaotic aftermath, with one man trapped at the counter and others narrowly escaping harm.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
