One person was killed after a two-vehicle crash on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, early Saturday morning, November 16, 2024.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Sergio Garcia, the collision occurred at around 12:12 a.m. on the southbound freeway near Winnetka Avenue.
CHP officers arrived to find a silver BMW and a black BMW, both heavily damaged, with debris scattered across multiple lanes.
Reports from the scene indicated that one individual was discovered beneath one of the vehicles. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
The CHP issued a SigAlert, closing the southbound lanes at Winnetka Avenue for several hours to allow for investigation and cleanup.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
