[11-15-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – Driver Trapped and Rescued After Big Rig Overturns, Causing 7-Mile Backup on Southbound 5 Freeway

A driver was trapped and rescued after their big rig overturned on the southbound 5 Freeway near Castaic Lake, Los Angeles County, on Friday afternoon, November 15, 2024.

According to the responding officials, the crash occurred just after 11:15 a.m. near Templin Highway and involved four vehicles.

The three other drivers were unharmed, but the driver of the big rig had to be extricated by first responders. The driver’s condition remains unknown.

The incident is still under investigation.
