A 30-year-old woman was killed in a crash along Interstate 205 near Tracy on Thursday afternoon, November 14, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a 2020 white Alfa Romeo westbound on the interstate, east of Paradise Road, when she collided with a big rig.
The crash caused both vehicles to go off the road and debris to hit a third vehicle. The woman was ejected from the Alfa Romeo after it overturned several times. Authorities noted that she was not wearing a seatbelt. She was taken to a hospital but later died from her injuries.
The big rig driver suffered minor injuries and was also transported to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and have not yet determined if drugs or alcohol were involved.
