[11-10-2024] Visalia Resident Injured After SUV Crashes Into Home; Two ArrestedA resident sustained moderate injuries after an SUV crashed into their home in Visalia, leading to the arrest of two individuals on Sunday afternoon, November 10, 2024. 

According to the Visalia Police Department, the crash occurred at around 2:00 p.m. on the 4300 block of West Sunnyside Avenue. 

Authorities stated that the SUV, which had been traveling eastbound from Bollinger Street, veered off the road, smashing through a fence and colliding with a parked car. The impact propelled the SUV across the street, where it broke through another fence before crashing nearly fully into a home.

The injured resident was transported to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. The SUV driver initially fled the scene but was later apprehended, along with a passenger. 

The driver faces charges of felony DUI and hit-and-run, while the passenger was arrested on outstanding warrants. Authorities confirmed that speed and alcohol were major factors in the incident.
